The Mayor of Frontino has criticised General Zapateiro for his involvement in an unresolved conflict

Jorge Hugo Elejalde, mayor of Frontino, Antioquia, joined the controversy created by the racial squabble between the presidential candidate Gustavo Petro and the Army commander, General Eduardo Zapateiro, which began with the devastation of the Gulf Clan this week in Frontino.

The president questioned that the matter of the attack and the massacre of the seven soldiers had been forgotten and now they’re focusing only on a political battle instead of capturing the culprits.

Elejalde declared, “I call on General, instead of fighting with candidates in full Presidential Elections, Generals must be focused on his mission to defend US, put on his boots,”

“I respect the institutions. I am a lover and respecter of the military. https://notes.io/QVAz am the one who has provided the most respect. However, petro gustavo don’t want people to forget their roles , and ignoring their constitutional obligations, each one one of them, leaving politics to politicians.” he said.

The mayor has asked Diego Molano, general, and minister, to visit Frontino to discuss violence in the municipality.
