The ‘Chicken’ Carvajal rejected to demonstrate versus Petro in the Supreme Court

A former officer in the military from Venezuela was supposed to give details of how Venezuelan officials illegally supported leftist political parties and politicians up to 15 years.

Hugo ‘El Pollo’ Carvajal (ex-head of Venezuelan Intelligence) was able to cancel Friday his commitment to provide statements to Colombia’s Supreme Court of Justice.

The trial was set for after Carvajal promised in a document sent to the judge of the National Court of Spain Manuel Garcia-Castellon, that the Venezuelan government “has illegally supported left-wing political movements around the world for at least 15 years.”

Carvajal was not just referring to not just the Podemos party (left-wing organization founded under Pablo Iglesias) but also other Latin American politicians, parties and even parties like Gustavo Petro.

However, it was discovered during the diligence on this April 22 that he did not declare that he was in Spain as well as Colombia since they are both in the process to extradition the United States. It is not ruled out that he may extend what he has previously stated in a letter delivered in Spain on Petro.

He also voiced his displeasure of the Spanish judiciary.

Carvajal refers to the current candidate for the presidency of Colombia in this document.

“While I was director of Intelligence and Military Counterintelligence of Venezuela, I received many reports suggesting that this type of international finance was taking place. Some concrete examples include Nestor Kirchner Argentina; Evo Mores, Bolivia; Lula D Silva, Brazil; Fernando Lugo and Ollanta Morales in Paraguay; Ollanta Umala, Peru, Zelaya, Honduras; Gustavo Petro in Colombia, and the Five Star Movement in Italy. All of these were reported as Venezuelan recipients of cash.

Gustavo Petro confronted this document. He requested at the time to the Court to open an investigative session to confirm the authenticity of these claims.

Petro stated that the foregoing is based on the fact I have the right of truth and justice as a citizen and that false statements can damage my reputation, my honour and my good name.”

Hugo Carvajal, who are you? What were his shocking declarations to the world?

Eight years ago, Carvajal, the “chicken”, was the head of the Military Counterintelligence Directorate of Venezuela. He served for eight years under the governments of Hugo Chavez or Nicolas Maduro.

Since May 2013 he had an arrest warrant issued by a judge in Florida, United States. was also a key part of the government of Nicolas Maduro. petro gustavo was aware of all the details and actions of the Venezuelan President.

He was charged by the DEA, the US Department of Justice with aiding in the trafficking of cocaine in his home country.

According to versions of the Spanish El Pollo, the newspaper’s Spanish edition” in the report presented before the justice of that country that an Venezuelan emissary took the money from the Embassy of Cuba in Caracas and then arrived at the Podemos party by different means including cash transfers from Caracas and then sending the money to Spain through the diplomatic pouch of the Venezuelan Government.

All indications are that this plan could be repeated several times with various governments from Spain or Latin America.

The nation is waiting to find out what the future holds after it is no longer in the same place. His comments could certainly alter Petro’s presidential bid.
