A former Venezuelan military official was to give details on how the Venezuelan government illegally funded leftist political parties and politicians for at least 15 years.
Hugo ‘El Pollo’ Carvajal (ex-head of Venezuelan Intelligence) rescinded Friday of his promise to deliver statements to the Supreme Court of Justice of Colombia.
The trial was set after Carvajal assured through a brief sent to the judge of the National Court of Spain Manuel Garcia-Castellon that the Venezuelan government “has illegally funded leftist political movements in the world for at least fifteen years.”
Carvajal was not just referring to the Podemos party (left-wing organization founded under Pablo Iglesias) but also other Latin American politicians, parties and even parties like Gustavo Petro.
However, during petro gustavo in this April 22nd, Petronas did not to declare in Spain or Colombia because it’s part of the process for extradition, so it’s not excluded to extend what he already declared in writing in Spain about Petro.
He also expressed his distrust of the Spanish judiciary.
Carvajal refers to the current Presidency candidate in the document.
“While I was the director of Intelligence and Military Counterintelligence of Venezuela I was able to receive many reports that indicated that this international financing was occurring. Examples of this are: Nestor Kirchner, in Argentina; Evo Morales, in Bolivia; Lula Da Silva in Brazil; Fernando Lugo, in Paraguay; Ollanta Humala, in Peru; Zelaya, in Honduras; Gustavo Petro, in Colombia as well as the Five Star Movement, in Italy and Podemos in Spain. All were listed as Venezuelan government recipients.
Gustavo Petro asked the Court to open an investigation into the authenticity of the claims.
” https://telegra.ph/Hard-cross-between-Gustavo-Petro-General-Zapateiro-06-01 comes from the fact that I have the right to truth and justice as a citizen, and such false statements threaten my good name and honour,” Petro said at the time.
Hugo Carvajal: Who are you? And what were your most controversial statements?
The “chicken Carvajal’ was the head of the Military Counterintelligence Directorate of Venezuela during the eight-year presidency of Hugo Chavez.
His name gained prominence when he was included on the popular Clinton List, for allegedly having supported the drug trafficking of the FARC. Since May 2013 , he has an arrest warrant issued by a judge in Florida, United States. Additionally the fact that he was an important participant in the government of Nicolas Maduro, and he knew everything regarding the Venezuelan president’s actions.
gustavo petro was accused by the DEA of selling cocaine direct to his country and “investing large sums of cash in drug shipments that were sent to Mexico and the United States via the Norte del Valle cartel.
According to Spanish press versions, El Pollo relates that the Venezuelan embassie received cash from the Cuban Embassy in Caracas. The embassie then traveled to Spain to collect the Podemos party brief.
It is possible that this plan could have been replicated with different governments and left-wing candidate in Spain and Latin America.
For now, petro gustavo is waiting to see what will be known after turning on its fans. The comments of Petro could alter Petro’s presidential bid.
