Former Venezuelan military officer was expected give details on how the Venezuelan government illegally supported leftist political parties and political leaders for at least 15 years.
The former chief of Venezuelan Intelligence Hugo ‘El Pollo’ Carvajal refrained on Friday from delivering remarks before the Supreme Court of Justice of Colombia.
After Carvajal gave a statement to Manuel Garcia-Castellon (National Court of Spain) and the hearing was scheduled. Garcia-Castellon had been assured by Carvajal that Venezuela “has illegally financed Leftist Political Movements in the world for at LEAST fifteen years.”
Carvajal at the time mentioned the Podemos group, a left-wing organization established under Pablo Iglesias. https://pastelink.net/q112wokr is now part of Spain’s government.
However the diligence of April 22 noted that not declare to Spain or Colombia in the event of for extradition to the United States, so it’s not excluded that he could have said the things he’s already said in a writing by a Spanish writer about Petro.
He also expressed his disdain towards the Spanish judiciary.
Carvajal was a reference to the current President’s candidate in Colombia in this document:
“While I was the director of Intelligence and Military Counterintelligence of Venezuela I received a large number of reports that indicated that this international financing was occurring. Concrete examples include Nestor Kirchner, Argentina; Evo morales, Bolivia; Lula Silva, Brazil; Fernando Lugo; Ollanta Hulala, Peru; Zelaya (Honduras); Gustavo Petro, Colombia; the Five Star Movement, Italy; and Podemos, Spain. All of these are recipients of Venezuelan funds.
Gustavo Petro asked the Court to initiate an inquiry into the veracity of the claims.
Petro claimed that Petro had stated at the time “The foregoing is based upon the fact that I have rights to truth and justice as a citizen, and making false assertions threaten my good name and honor.”
Hugo Carvajal is who? And what are his shocking statements?
Eight years ago, the ‘chicken” Carvajal headed the Military Counterintelligence Directorate of Venezuela. It was during the eight years between Hugo Chavez’s presidency and Nicolas Maduro’s.
petro gustavo gained traction when he joined the famous Clinton List. For allegedly aiding the FARC drug trafficking, he is believed to have been. In May 2013, he was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by a judge in Florida, United States. He also became a key member of Nicolas Maduro’s government. He knew every detail and moves of Nicolas Maduro, the Venezuelan President.
The DEA accused him of DEA of selling cocaine direct to his country, and “investing massive amounts of cash in drug shipment that was delivered to Mexico and the United States via the Norte del Valle cartel.
According to Spanish media reports, El Pollo says that a Venezuelan diplomat collected money from the Embassy in Cuba in Caracas. http://y8space.com/members-2/gustavo-petroszjo650/activity/3020270/ took the money to Spain with two different methods. One option is to transfer the money in a diplomatic pouch to Spain or deliver it himself in Caracas.
It seems that this strategy could have been repeated different left-wing candidates and governments in Spain and Latin America.
The country is still waiting to see what future holds after it is no longer in the same place. Undoubtedly, his statements could strongly shake Petro’s presidential campaign.
