Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry The numbers come from the United States

NEW YORK – Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and august. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) declared that it was exciting to see the growth in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. “The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we were celebrating record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are thrilled to see this shift and anticipate an upward trend that will continue for months and even years.

נווה פריצקי Canada is also on track, just as the United States, to surpass the amount of tourists that visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada received 7,200 visitors and August saw the number increase to 6,000. Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director of Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was exciting to see Canada’s tourism to Israel returning. “We are not far off our record numbers for 2019, and we are anticipating that the growth in the number of travelers to Israel will further increase as Canadians remain comfortable travelling abroad.”

Israel has hosted more than 4.6million tourists in 2019, of which 969,600 came from the United States. Since May when the country was opened to all visitors regardless of vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
