Federico Gutierrez as presidential candidate claims that the vote can only be won on the street. There are 32 days left until the first round of the presidential election and he’s making a promise to take on Gustavo Petro, who is his primary rival, to win the House of Narino vote in the second round.
Gutierrez went to Boyaca on Saturday, a holy area that Petro went to on Friday. The former Mayor of Medellin was in the process of running for president of the center-right. He went to Tunja and spoke with academics, farmers, peasants and businessmen.
Fico’s main meeting took place at the Tunja Convention Center. Here Fico gathered a group of people who voted for Fico on the 29th of May.
With ruana and a plethora of Colombians backing the candidate of the Team for Colombia, Federico uploaded a video to Twitter in which he thanked the citizens of Tunja as well as saying: “we’re Going to win and we all are running for president to unite and transform Colombia,” said the candidate for the presidency, while capturing a group of people who support him without stopping.
“Happy at home in Boyaca! He wrote that he was content in Boyaca due to the fact that he is the president of the people.
The second person in the polls made it to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira in the course of the trip. This strategic location is the place where many followers and faithful come from all over the country every weekend. The center-right leader kneeled before the Virgin Mary and was in the presence of his faithful followers, who were waiting for the early morning Eucharist.
“I I asked Virgin to give me wisdom. He said he would pray for me and my family along with all Colombian families for peace , and also humility.
The presidential candidate was captured on video at this location. Prior to entering the venue, the presidential candidate met with a lot of residents from the region. They embraced him and also were wearing a uniform from Colombia.
Gutierrez was seen arriving at the church with the customary Boyacan ruana and the medal of the Virgin of Chiquinquira on his chest. It was a symbol of spirituality that he has displayed throughout his political campaign. A few weeks ago, Antioquian visited Jericho Antioquia and gathered at the birthplace of Mother Laura, who has been canonized by Pope Francis.
The candidate for Chiquinquira took the opportunity to meet the people and give announcements to those who would be arriving at the palace of the president. “Key concerns for Chiquinquira include ensuring drinking water for all its residents, maintenance and construction of roads (especially the Ruta de los Comuneros and Chiquinquira’s Ubate section) and tourism as a way to create jobs and sustainably developed development.” Mining and employment were other major issues addressed by the paisa leader.
Fico Gutierrez was speaking about the work. He indicated that Tunja is the second-highest rate of unemployment within the country. So, in the government’s plan, he aims to create “about 2,000 jobs with at least 300 new Boyaca companies”.
On the other hand, he also added that sustainable mobility must be a priority for the department. He shared his belief that the Strategic Public Transport System’s structure must be a priority to achieve these goals. He also stated that he will continue his efforts in building roads and cycling routes.
Gutierrez also addressed a message to the producers of the field and potato “Peasants and the farmers of Boyaca We will work to create more opportunities and income for you and re-dignify the fields,” reads his most recent tweet. Gutierrez is still reaching out to Colombians, revealing his plan for government, and aiming to be an effective candidate in next elections on Sunday.
