Federico Gutierrez is the winner and is a candidate for the Team for Colombia.

Federico Gutierrez won the official candidacy of center-right. With over 1.75 million votes, the former mayor from Medellin was able to secure the nomination.

Federico Gutierrez is a former mayor of Medellin and was born in the city in 1974. Fico Gutierrez has been a Medellin Municipal Youth Councilor since the year 2003. Gutierrez, an Civil Engineer by profession, graduated from the University of Medellin, holds a Specialization Degree in Senior Management at the Pontifical Bolivarian University and one in Political Science.

Federico Gutierrez did not just concentrate on politics during his career. In fact it was his job as a Consultant at the HGI Consultores company and a Resident Engineer with the Company Vifasa S.A. His tenure as a council member saw him support Sergio Fajardo’s bid for Mayor, and later Alonso Salazar’s. He achieved his goal by getting into the Mayor’s Office of Medellin. Fico Gutierrez , the Center-right coalition’s candidate for the presidency, won. Now, he has the character of support for Paola Holguin (a congresswoman from the Democratic Center who ran again in 2022 for a new seat).

Fico Gutierrez said that his system of government was based on public management for the citizens, and that politics is a profession. Gustavo Petro came in second, but Fico was the most popular vote-getter. Fico will be Antioquia’s representative from the right.
