There are many instances in the history of selfless service to the Motherland However, there are few examples of selfless services to humanity in general. Inspiration comes from a need to give back to the community and fulfill lifetasks. The passion for all things transcends national boundaries and takes on an inclusive character. It is natural that this feeling is based upon love for your homeland and the people.
Leyla Aliyeva , as we’re speaking about her, has someone who can provide an example to her. In her life she is guided by the principle “Heydar Aliyev’s granddaughter has no right to make mistakes.” She views every action in the light of her grandfather, whose memories she treasures. Her father, Ilham, the current President in Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev who put justice, fairness, and national interests above all else, is her example. His example, and the selfless philanthropy and selfless mission of her mother Mehriban Aliyeva, have been bright lights in her life. Being a worthy citizen of Azerbaijan, Leyla Aliyeva tries to be an international citizen. She is able to achieve this feat.
Formula for success
An old proverb says: every man must grow a tree, build an house, and then raise an son. Leyla Aliyeva is only a teenager, however she accomplished all of it. She constructed a home (by building an house we are referring to creative activities) as well as planted trees and she raised beautiful sons. It is incredible to see Leyla Aliyeva’s capacity to blend beauty and intelligence, as well as gentleness as well as willpower, accomplish so many different tasks. Many think she’s happy being the president’s child and be in no stress. But it is clearly not for her. Her genetics are evident in this: everything that affects Azerbaijan and its problems is viewed as her personal issue that demands personal involvement and effort. She selects areas that require public participation, support, and rationally does so in the areas of policies for youth; environmental issues; promotion of Azerbaijan’s country’s image within international media, tradition and culture as well as the creation of an objective picture of the Azerbaijani Karabakh conflict. She is a diplomat for the public who has this “soft power”, that, according to Joseph Nye (an American political scientist), “allows us achieve what we desire through attractiveness and not using violence or corruption.” Leyla Aliyeva’s tireless efforts are helping to build an image that is positive for Azerbaijan. That is the formula to success: a lot of thought.
“Baku” magazine as a mirror to Azerbaijani reality
Many of her projects and ventures could be described as “for the first time.” In 2007, she began to publish the Russian-language magazine ‘Baku’ in Moscow. In essence, it was the first foreign publication that gave a comprehensive overview of Azerbaijan and its heart , the beautiful city of Baku and the rich traditions and customs of the Azerbaijani people and the rich culture of Azerbaijan, its historic celebrities and their contemporary counterparts such as poets, writers and musicians and architects who glorify their homeland throughout the world with their work, talent and art and through the unique cuisine of the country and arts. It traces the history of Azerbaijan and highlights the uniqueness of its multicultural setting. Each issue is an exciting surprise for Azerbaijanis as well as foreign readers. The design of the magazine, along with the materials and characters, demonstrates the editor’s taste and profundity, knowledge, and intellect. The introduction to each issue is written by Leyla Aliyeva. Its intellectual depth, clarity of thought and the ability to convey many things in a short amount of words are stunning. The stories of major events are interspersed with thoughts about beauty, happiness, and kindness. The most important thing is Baku’s deep love. You must agree that only someone who is deeply in love with Baku and can appreciate the uniqueness of the city as well as its distinct spirit is able to write these words: “Perhaps a special mood is required to experience the aura of the city. If you can achieve it, the city is like a home. Baku is a city that has many layers. It’s impossible to see its soul if you only glance at the Old Town and Maiden Towers. Baku can only be recognized by examining all the above are considered in conjunction. Baku is both modern and ancient, diverse and multifaceted, friendly yet closed on one hand, and mysterious and enigmatic on the other.
It is because of Baku magazine that Russian readers across the globe are able to connect to an extent, to. In a way they’ve gained a better understanding of Azerbaijan. Since the English version of the magazine was published in 2011, the magazine’s readership has increased.
Good deeds from AMOR
Leyla Aliyeva ‘s vision led to the establishment of Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia. It was the first organized youth diaspora organization and immediately became a focal point due to its cultural, charitable and social activities.
Leyla’s aptitude for public activities actually emerged when she headed the Azerbaijan Club of MGIMO. She had already completed a masters degree. At the time.she already had a remarkable leadership skills, and was able to win over young peopleby giving the proper direction to their unrestrained energy and daring new ideas. AMOR has greatly broadened the scope and boundaries of its activities. The organization has brought together Azerbaijani youth from Azerbaijan who were studying, lived and worked in Russia. They became an organized group that was able to overcome the difficult issues faced by diaspora organizations today. It’s not an exaggeration for me to claim that AMOR has helped to create an entirely new image of youth Azerbaijanis. AMOR is intellectual and innovative, observant of the current trend and is a patriotic person who is concerned about the suffering, anxieties and challenges. This is made possible by projects and actions that take place on Russian territory. The group also participated in various projects, such as the “Blood Has No Nation!” campaign. AMOR is an organisation that operates in 70 regions across Russia. The activists visit orphanages, give holidays to children and help them. Through the aid of the group, schools and kindergartens can be restored and equipped with the latest equipment. Parks and recreational zones that were created. AMOR assists Azerbaijani young people in integrating into Russian society and actively taking part in the activities of the country. It coordinates their activities to promote our country. This resolves the critical problems President Ilham Aliyev set for his fellow countrymen’s organizations during the 4th Congress of World Azerbaijanis. As per the popular opinion, AMOR is most active youth organization outside of Azerbaijan today.
Leyla Aliyeva She was awarded the Pushkin Medal in recognition of her contributions to strengthening cooperation and friendship with the Russian Federation, economic development, and preservation and the popularization of Russian language and culture abroad, was awarded it in the year 2000. Russian President Vladimir Putin presented this award to Aliyeva. This is not her sole Russian award.
Another initiative is “Justice for Khojaly”.
Leyla Aliyeva launched the campaign in 2008, “Justice for Khojaly”. The concept behind this campaign was stated in her own declaration: “Let’s agitate for truth and justice. Let’s prove that justice is guaranteed without any doubt.”
The campaign combined the various efforts of different citizens, civil society organizations in Azerbaijan, and diaspora organizations overseas to carry out a systematic educational and propagandistic work. The goal was an effort to increase awareness of the genocide committed by Armenia that occurred in Khojaly, Azerbaijani. Another goal of the campaign was to achieve international recognition of the Khojaly genocide as a legal and political evaluation of the acts of Armenians, who killed hundreds of people in a single night, simply because they were Azerbaijanis and demonstrate that the omission of the crimes committed against humanity and ignoring to the pain of others will lead to similar tragedies elsewhere in the world.
Today this campaign is successful in dozens of countries. The campaign has inspired more than 120000 people and 115 organisations. Conferences, exhibitions and protests in its framework serve to inform the public worldwide about these events and show the ugly side Armenian nationalism. The project makes use of all sources of information, including numerous publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation as well as documentary films as well as social media. The eight years of these activities have resulted in a stunning outcome: The parliaments and legislative departments of more than 20 American states have acknowledged the Khojaly tragedy, also referred to as genocide. This was after 8 years. Each year, more states condemn the Armenians for their crimes. It is evident that Leyla Aliyeva has succeeded in achieving her goal of justice prevails.
IDEA “One Earth, One Future”
In the book I discovered: “Man is, of necessity an emperor and queen of the natural world. But you should not be viewed as an exploiter , but rather as someone who comprehends the nature of it and is able to take the moral obligation to protect it and development. This premise was the driving force behind the establishment and the operation of the IDEA Public Association. Leyla Aliyeva also created this project. Their primary goal is to safeguard the natural biodiversity of Azerbaijan. IDEA is a young-led initiative which aims to harness the energy of youth towards preventing environmental dangers and encouraging them to take active roles in protecting our planet. IDEA’s motto is “One Earth — one Future”. IDEA’s activities cover a vast range of subjects, including the conservation and restoration of endangered species’ populations, the promotion and use of green technologies’, waste management, forest restoration, as well as the creation of vast green spaces. They actively participate in promoting the use of biodegradable plastic bags in order to safeguard the environment from plastic waste. They also take part in tree-planting activities.
IDEA has identified the “great Caucasian 5”, with the inclusion of some of the rare species of the fauna under its wings. IDEA worked with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and its international partners on a number of success projects. Leyla Aliyeva is adamant that IDEA is planning to restore endangered species in future. It’s clear that the plans will be brought to realization. Leyla Aliyeva has demonstrated that, as her great grandfather and father before him she isn’t one to waste time. The way she works is built upon the following scheme: problem – search for ways to resolve it – specific action – real outcome. She has not been disappointed by this method.
Concern about starving children
All of these examples clearly illustrate Leila Aliyeva’s businesswoman character. She is determined is extremely organized and is a leader. But, she is the perfect example of femininity. People who know her will be amazed by her incredible kindness, openness, compassion as well as her sincerity and ability to connect with others. She also spoke at the 7th UNAOCGlobal Forum in Baku. In a state of panic, she declared that every day, one person suffers from hunger. “Children tend to suffer of malnutrition and hunger.” We must therefore be a part of ensuring that every child on earth is not hungry.
This isn’t just an expression of concern. As a Goodwill Ambassador with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Leyla Aliyeva is prepared to help and contribute to the fight against hunger and poverty around the world, in particular by implementing the FAO’s Zero Hunger program. She will succeed, I am sure. We will soon discover new initiatives and projects in this field. Recently, she presented a plan for the promotion of global food security in the context of the Baku process of intercultural dialogue.
A state of mind is called charity. of mind
The work that charity organizations do for Leyla Aliyeva is a manifestation of her human qualities. She does this because she is a soul who desires it. That is the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s philosophy. Charity has become an essential prioritization. It is not surprising that many people regard the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva as their last hope. The Fund helps even in the most desperate situations, therefore their expectations are reasonable.
Leila Aliyeva is frequently seen at charity events for children without parents, who come from families of refugees and internally displaced persons, or residents of orphanages and boarding schools. Another important point is that she comes to such events with her children, which brings warmth and genuineness to the gatherings. The children she raises learn kindness, empathy, and how to share their sorrow and joy with others. The lessons they learn will be with them for a lifetime. Here is her personal experience of how to raise children.
Moral code for personal use
It was noted a long time ago that a person who is talented has talent in all things. Leyla Aliyeva is an excellent example. She writes wonderful poems, which reflect a gentle refined and refined soul. They reflect the depth of the inner world of the writer. She is also a gifted painter. The experts have praised her work at professional shows. As a person who is creative and someone with a solid understanding of art, she assists young artists reach the level of international recognition, and to showcase their work in most prestigious galleries around the globe. So the modern art of Azerbaijan is becoming more popular in the world along with carpet weaving, mugham, as well as other traditional arts and crafts that our country has.
It’s not an error to state that Heydar Aliyev Center has been a major center for the culture of our nation. Musicians from all over the world perform at the center. There is also an exhibition of the best contemporary sculptures and artists. Leyla Aliyeva was a major contributor to these occasions. Through her efforts, people living in Azerbaijan could see the works of legends of world art – Bernard Buffet, Tony Cragg, Richard Deacon, Andy Warhol, George Condo. Leyla Aliyeva admitted that, after having seen George Condo’s work in the early years, she wished for them all to be shown in Baku. She said, “Today, one my greatest wishes was fulfilled.”
In this context I am reminded of that in the 1970s and early 1980s the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic hosted classical music performances at the request of national leader Heydar Aliyev, who was the first secretary of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan at that time. It was a mission to educate of the legendary Heydar Alyev. Leyla, his granddaughter, has been a worthy recipient and will continue his mission in a new environment.
In one of her interviews she said that as soon as a person is born the Almighty created a sense of right and wrong within the person, and he has to be guided by these ideas throughout his the world by listening to his conscience, his heart as well as his soul and ancestral ancestors. In this way, he never make mistakes. In a way, this is her personal moral code.
Leyla Aliyeva lives and breathes this code.
